Contracts Manager
Time 4 Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Contracts Manager to work for a successful and growing main contractor in Swansea. My client specialises in new build residential, civil, commercial, and demolition projects across South Wales.
As Contracts Manager, you will be based in Swansea and manage sites across the South Wales region. You will be working on varying sites and be expected to travel within the M4 corridor.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in managing similar contracts, in particular working with groundworks and refurbishments. A high level of relationship-building skills is required to develop working relations with existing and new contacts on frameworks and clients to be successful within the role.
As Contracts Manager, you will have worked in a similar role where you have been managing multi-site environments, led large teams of trade people, and produced successful projects. You will be involved in business development, programming, pre-let agreements, facilities management, managing paperwork, and establishing a timeline which will guarantee a production rate in line with forecast and budget as well as available trades, mainly groundworks.
You will be expected to carry out critical checks across projects with site managers regularly to ensure plans are accurately transferred from concept through to construction and completion. You will manage the budgets, build quality, and Health and Safety across the schemes, working closely with the wider team to ensure complete compliance and acting as the escalation point for any issues arising from project management.
Benefits
As Contracts Manager, you will be rewarded with a salary of £60,000 – £70,000 per annum, plus other bonuses (depending on experience for the right person).
This is a permanent role to start December 2024 – January 2025. Your time will be split between the Swansea office and on projects within the M4 corridor.
