What you will do in your working day
* To operate all lathe and milling machines
* To setup all lathe and milling machines
* Training to program all machines online and offline using CAD CAM software
* Checking produced work using inspection equipment including CMM
The training you will be getting
Apprenticeship Standard plus Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Machining) (Development Technical Knowledge) and NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering.
Training will be on site in Melksham and day release at Wiltshire college and University centre Chippenham campus.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship programme. There may be the opportunity as a fully trained and skilled CNC machinist with possible progression on to programmer, supervisor.
