Mechanical Supervisor (Pre-Fabrication Experience Required) I am currently working alongside a leading M&E contractor who is looking to hire an experienced Mechanical Supervisor on night shifts 7pm to 4am. My client specialises in delivering high-quality mechanical solutions across various sectors, with a strong focus with pre-fabrication on commercial projects. Mechanical Supervisor Responsibilities: Overseeing the installation, commissioning, and quality assurance of mechanical systems, including pipework, HVAC, and plant rooms. Managing and coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and pre-fabrication assembly processes. Ensuring all work is completed to industry standards, project specifications, and health & safety regulations. Conducting inspections, snagging, and quality control on mechanical installations. Liaising with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and problem resolution. Monitoring project progress, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. Maintaining accurate site documentation, including RAMS, progress reports, and material requisitions. Leading toolbox talks and promoting a strong safety culture on-site. Mechanical Supervisor Requirements: Right to work in the UK. Valid CSCS Card (mandatory). NVQ in Mechanical Engineering, Pipefitting, or relevant qualification. Would consider Time Served. Proven experience in commercial projects, with expertise in pre-fabrication. SSSTS or SMSTS certification (preferred). Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications. Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour.
