About the role
As a Deputy Manager, you will be leading on different tasks including:
1. Meeting general care needs and holding responsibility over assessment, planning and implementation of support for service users.
2. Providing active support with new admissions and discharges.
3. Encouraging our service users to live as independently as possible, while supporting them in building their life skills in a person-centred way.
4. Ensuring all reports and records are compliant and maintained accurately, following good practice and organisational/legislative requirements.
5. Supporting with day-to-day supervision of the service, including rota planning, recruitment, induction and retention of colleagues.
6. Leading by example while fostering a culture of honesty and openness. Acting as main point of contact in the absence of the site manager.
7. Working as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team and building important connections and relationships with other specialists.
8. Supporting the Site Manager and deputising in their absence.
9. Promoting an innovative approach to work and a positive culture, embedding the REACH standards in everyday practice.
About you
1. Previous experience in a similar role or setting, with a good understanding of the care sector.
2. Ability to lead a team and develop their potential and skills.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills and resilience.
4. Demonstrating initiative and the ability to work in a person-centred way.
5. Empathy, understanding and patience.
6. Competent in verbal and written English.
7. Committed to personal development and seeking opportunities to upskill and grow.
8. Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor qualification desirable, but not essential.
