The Project Management Office is looking for an individual passionate to join a centralised PMO. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to thrive in an environment where your ability to juggle multiple tasks within a projects environment is valued.
We are looking for someone experienced in a Project Support environment, where you will be able to onboard new projects, maintain governance across our project management processes, ensure excellent communication between stakeholders, deliver effective reporting and work on dynamic tasks.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Onboarding new projects
2. Maintaining and delivering a high volume inbox of project-related activities
3. Liaise/work within sectors, effectively communicating and supporting cost effective Project Administration and Governance of the Project Management Lifecycle for a portfolio, through agreed project management methods, standards and processes
4. Provide Assurance to the Project Management Lifecycle
5. Effectively problem solve Project Management queries
6. Produce reporting to senior stakeholders
7. Ensure fluid communication between all stakeholders and harmonise project reporting to maintain consistency and clarity
8. Proactively alert Project Managers to project related issues – risks/budgets or schedule overruns
9. Perform Project Health Checks/Audits
10. Network of Knowledge forum – set up and hold meetings – sharing lessons, risk & issues, best practice for your portfolio
11. Lead/Manage Project Management Change Initiatives
12. Demonstrate leadership, change management and conflict resolution skills
13. Supporting Project managers and coordinators in the use of Microsoft Project and other project tools; specifically ensuring that project plans are kept up to date to ensure reports to senior management team are accurate
14. Attendance and Collaboration at Monthly Sector Gate/Project reviews
Person Specification
Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience
1. 2 Years Project Support/Management experience
2. Proficiency within Dynamics D365
3. Proficient in Excel, and analysing data
Desirable Skills/Qualifications/Experience
1. Member of APM or APM PFQ/PMQ preferred
