This position requires experience with developing efficient computer vision algorithms on resource-constrained computing platforms on edge. You will collaborate with different Amazon teams to make informed decisions on the best practices in machine learning to build highly-optimised integrated hardware and software platforms.
Key job responsibilities
1. Research and implement the state-of-the-art computer vision and machine learning methods to deliver high-quality artifacts that meet product specifications.
2. Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data analysis, machine-learning model development, model validation and gap analysis.
3. Provide technical leadership and research new machine learning approaches to drive continued scientific innovation.
4. Work in a collaborative environment with other scientists, engineers, product managers and cross-functional teams.
5. Mentor and develop junior scientists on the team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience of building machine learning models for business application experience.
2. PhD, or Master's degree and multiple years of applied research experience.
3. Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
4. Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Proven track record of innovation in creating novel algorithms and advancing the state-of-the-art.
2. Experience in prototyping, designing, implementing and deploying large-scale computer vision applications and tools.
3. Experience in developing highly-optimized CV and ML algorithms on resource-constrained platforms.
4. Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deal with ambiguities.
5. Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills.
