The Business Analysis team within IT Delivery Management is integral in providing analytical support for project decision-making. They collect and analyse business requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals and stakeholder needs. Job description As a Senior Business Analyst, you will have a good understanding of strategic arenas and leads large or complex analysis projects. The key responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to: Manage stakeholder relationships. Undertake research and analysis to understand how a business or business area works, considering the people, organisation, processes, information, data and technology. Identify areas for improvement, explore feasible options, analyse the effects of change and define success measures. Identify and elaborate user and business needs to enable effective design, development and testing of services and business change. Person specification About You You will need the following experience: Proven ability to analyse business processes, identify alternative solutions, assess feasibility, and recommend new approaches, typically seeking to exploit technology components to meet business objectives. Experience of defining strategies, validating and justifying business needs, producing high-level and detailed business models, preparing business cases, overseeing development and implementation of solutions. Ability to bring together stakeholders to gain a wider picture of the landscape surrounding activities and policies while encouraging a culture of initiative and innovation focused on adding value. Experience of providing constructive challenge to senior management on change proposals which will affect business areas, taking into account the views, perspectives and implications of change on the organisation and all stakeholders. Additional Information This role will be based in the Southampton HQ. MCA supports flexible working and operates a hybrid working model between home and office for this role, giving you greater flexibility over where and when you work. The expectation is that you will spend a minimum 60% of your working time based at your principal workplace or out on official business. Details of the arrangement will be discussed further with your line manager. There may be a requirement for occasional travel on official duty within the UK, which may involve overnight stays.
