We are looking for an experienced leader to join our Distribution Centre where you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day activities within a busy warehouse environment.
Working within the Goods Receipt area, you will be responsible for managing all processes, leading a team of distribution operatives. Your role will involve coaching and developing the team to enhance performance and drive continuous improvement.

Key Details:
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday – Friday, 10am to 6pm. The team you will be managing works between 6am and 10pm, requiring flexibility outside of standard hours when needed.
People management responsibility: 11 direct reports (including Distribution Operatives and two senior Distribution Operatives).
Your main responsibilities:
1. Full Ownership & Accountability of all Goods Receipt Processes including 3rd party storage providers and deliveries direct to customers.
2. Control of all documentation in relation to Goods Receipt, scanning & archiving.
3. Play an active role in projects as required to deliver increases in efficiency, productivity and contribute to cost reduction programs.
4. Ensure departmental compliance with all regulatory requirements particularly those relating to GDP.
5. Performance and absence management of team.
6. Produce on time management reporting.
What you need to succeed:
1. Proven experience of managing teams within a warehouse environment.
2. Knowledge of warehousing procedures.
3. Can maintain a consistent high level of accuracy, concentration and attention to detail whilst working under pressure.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
5. Strong supervisory abilities, focused on guiding the team and ensuring targets are met.
