For more information, please visit www.infovista.com Position Overview: The Global Director Credit Management & Billing is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s global credit strategy, billing process and related policies. This role’s focus is on optimizing credit risk management, enhancing credit assessment processes, and ensuring compliance with global credit regulations. The director will lead a team of credit analysts, invoicing specialists and collaborate closely with sales, finance, legal, and banking partners to support business growth while minimizing credit risk. Key Responsibilities: Cash Collections Management - Lead and manage the collections team to achieve collection targets and optimize cash flow. - Develop and implement strategies to improve collections processes and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO). - Establish clear communication with customers regarding payment terms and follow-up procedures. Cash Forecasting - Create and maintain cash flow forecasts, incorporating historical data, sales projections, and market trends. - Analyze cash collection patterns and identify potential cash flow issues before they arise. - Regularly update forecasts based on real-time data and changing business conditions. Collaboration with Treasury - Provide accurate and timely cash flow forecasts to the treasury team for liquidity management. - Assist in strategic planning for funding needs, investments, and risk management. - Participate in monthly and quarterly financial reviews with the treasury and finance teams Credit Strategy Development: - Develop and implement a comprehensive global credit strategy aligned with the company's financial goals. - Evaluate and refine credit policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Risk Management: - Identify, assess, and mitigate credit risk across various regions and business units. - Establish credit risk metrics and performance indicators to monitor portfolio performance. Team Leadership: - Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global credit team. - Foster a collaborative environment that encourages continuous improvement and professional growth. Invoicing Management: - Oversee the invoicing process to ensure timely and accurate billing for products and services. - Collaborate with finance and operations teams to streamline invoicing workflows. Profile Payment Terms and Legal Collaboration: - Work closely with the legal team to establish and negotiate payment terms that protect the company’s interests while facilitating customer relationships. - Ensure compliance with contractual obligations related to credit and payment. Strong Negotiation Skills: - Negotiate favorable credit terms and conditions with customers to support business objectives. - Lead discussions with banks and financial institutions to secure letters of credit and bank guarantees as needed. Credit Assessment and Decision-Making: - Oversee credit analysis processes, including the evaluation of creditworthiness and risk profiles of customers and partners. - Approve or decline credit applications based on thorough risk assessments. Reporting and Analytics: - Develop and maintain credit reporting systems to track and analyze credit performance and risk exposure. - Prepare regular reports for senior management and the board of directors on credit risk metrics and trends. Crisis Management: - Develop strategies to manage credit risk during economic downturns or financial crises. - Coordinate with relevant departments to implement recovery plans for distressed accounts. Key Skills, Competencies and Experience required • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred. • Experience:10 years of experience in credit risk management or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of credit risk assessment methodologies, financial analysis, and industry-specific credit practices. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data. • Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team across multiple regions. • Experience with Credit insurance process. • Exceptional negotiation skills to secure advantageous terms with customers and financial institutions. • Proficient in credit management software, financial modeling, and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with ERP( SalesForce, & Financial Force), MYDSO Manager, High Radius, systems is a plus.
