Options Resourcing are currently working with one of the most versatile construction companies in the UK to find an experienced estimator for a permanent position working on a wide variety of projects.
Options Resourcing are seeking a detail orientated and organised Estimator with approx. 5-7 years of demonstrable experience ensuring the accurate and evaluation of enquiry documents to guide pre-construction as well as selecting and coordinating sub-contractors and suppliers through the project.
As Estimator you will be responsible for:
- Preparing detailed quotations
- Ensuring all necessary information is available for accurate pricing.
- Collaborating with the pre-contract team for effective tender planning.
- Providing value engineering and best-value proposals.
- Conducting project analysis and preparing take-offs for procurement.
- Attending pre-contract and post-tender meetings.
- Identifying process improvements and optimizing strike rates.
The estimator will be preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates, maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors will all be part of the day to day duties.
Ideal Candidate:
- Be self-motivated and detail-oriented.
- Have a minimum of 5-7 years' experience in an estimating role within the construction industry.
- Have experience with on-screen estimating tools.
- Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Be open to office-based work initially, with the flexibility to work from home after settling in.
