We have an exciting opportunity for a Janitor to join our Voids and Planned Maintenance Team to help provide a safe, secure and clean environment for the tenants of our Housing with care and Housing with Support schemes.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Undertake simple maintenance and basic DIY activities in communal areas & properties.
* Undertake, monitor and maintain Fire Safety checks, Health & Safety and security of the scheme.
* Undertake cleaning/window cleaning and general duties as required.
* Check all lighting and security features on the scheme.
* Carry out legionella tests in empty properties on the schemes.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have/be
* The ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
* Basic understanding of the specific needs of vulnerable and older people.
* Numerate and able to keep stock records.
* A clean full driving licence and use of own vehicle.
* Basic DIY and maintenance skills.
* An understanding of the specific needs of vulnerable and older people.
* Willing to undertake mandatory training in COSHH and Fire Safety.
* The ability to communicate clearly and have a flexible approach to work.
Please note this role is subject to a Basic DBS check.
