Description As Risk Manager within the London P&C Risk Coverage team, directly reporting to the UK P&C Chief Risk Officer, you will participate in various capital-related studies and analyses for SCOR UK, SCOR Europe and SCOR Syndicate. This includes quantification of regulatory capital calculations according to Solvency II standard formula, participation in validation of internal model inputs and outputs as well as production and reporting of capital projections, all with clearly documented analysis. You will also participate in other quantitative and qualitative risk analyses spanning multiple topics, in collaboration with other Risk colleagues from international teams across the SCOR Group Responsibilities Risk management framework and analyses Contribute to the calculation and review of regulatory capital requirements according to standard formula requirements, including maintenance and validation of models in coordination with local, P&C and Group stakeholders. Participate in solvency studies with reporting to management and relevant committees. Assist the team’s management in the performance and documentation of ORSA processes, managing the related risk analyses and reporting. As a member of SCOR’s Risk Coverage team in London, support relevant risk management activities including monitoring of exposures against risk appetite and limits, risk identification, qualitative and quantitative risk assessment and related dashboards. Contribute to the development of probabilistic and deterministic scenarios in coordination with other Risk Management teams and other transverse functions. Participate in validation of internal model inputs and outputs as required. Contribute to monitoring of maturity and effectiveness of the internal control system for risk management processes of the supported entities incl. data quality controls etc. Participate in the identification, assessment and monitoring of emerging risks and trends. Contribute to risk analyses to meet ad-hoc local or group-wide needs, eventually developing a competence and expertise on specific risks. Potentially progressively take the lead on some of the above duties Link with the Business teams As a member of the Risk Coverage team in London and business partner/enabler, contribute to the business planning and other relevant business processes in order to support business decisions in view of risks, e.g. by conducting risk analyses etc. Assist relevant business areas/risk owners in the development of key risk indicators to identify and evaluate business areas' risks and challenge the effectiveness of controls and risk owners’ self-assessments. Risk reporting and governance Prepare and review materials for internal risk/solvency reporting to management and board (and the relevant committees). Contribute to external risk/solvency reporting and communication to auditors, regulators, supervisory authorities as requested Qualifications Experience: Extensive working experience in the P&C industry with increasing levels of accountability, ideally within commercial (re)insurance, particularly the London Market/Lloyd’s. Experience in Solvency II actuarial and financial risk modelling, including both standard formula and internal model frameworks, is advantageous. Knowledge of risk management regulatory principles (including solvency standards and practices, risk management, ORSA, governance). Personal Competencies and Skills: Strong analytical and statistical capabilities with ability to critically assess assumptions and risks underlying business plans/transactions. Knowledge of P&C (re)insurance business and ability to apply sound business and financial judgement to model output and business plans/transactions. Ability to apply skills/work in project mode in a variety of ad hoc situations, proactively proposing and balancing a range of solutions. Able to identify, summarise and explain main issues clearly with strong written and verbal skills, in particular concise and accurate in communicating with stakeholders. Team worker with ability to deliver results for review in a timely manner, being proactive in managing deadlines including management of dependencies on others, with strong sense of accountability and high quality of outputs presented for review. Build strong relationships within risk management and other functions, locally and across the Group and the P&C business unit. Strong understanding and awareness of legal and regulatory compliance requirements. Required Education BSc or higher in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics or related field. Qualification in a globally recognized actuarial and/or equivalent risk management organization.
