Join the Health & Safety teams in Humber, we are looking to appoint Health, Safety & Environment Manager – Projects / Construction to provide HS&E leadership, support and technical advice to ABP Projects teams, Engineering, Property and other functions on major infrastructure projects, construction works and other significant or higher risk asset maintenance, repair and contractor activities.
Infrastructure Project / Contractor Coordination - Strictly coordinate and oversee all aspects of HS&E management for infrastructure projects and contractor activities. Ensure robust compliance with HS&E regulations, including the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, throughout all project stages and infrastructure operations.
Collaborator Engagement and Leadership - Provide outstanding HS &E leadership, support, and technical advice to ABP Projects teams, Engineering, Property, and other functions. Lead collaborator engagement to determine and successfully implement world -class safety standards across all major infrastructure projects and construction works.
Site Inspections, Audits and Reporting - Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor HS&E performance. Develop and maintain detailed reporting systems to detail findings and ensure continuous improvement.
Incident Reporting and Investigation - Lead the investigation of all project / contractor related incidents and near-misses, ensuring detailed documentation and analysis. Develop actionable recommendations to prevent recurrence and promote a culture of safety.
Documentation and Compliance - Maintain meticulous HS&E documentation and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards. Support the continuous improvement of health and safety management systems and employee engagement programmes.
About you:
We are looking for an ambitious and dedicated individual with a proven track record in HS&E management within construction and major projects. You will have:
* A recognised health and safety qualification (BSc., NEBOSH Diploma, NEBOSH Construction Certificate, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
* Proven experience (minimum of 5 years post-qualification) in delivering major construction project safety, CDM compliance, and associated HS&E programmes.
* Advanced knowledge of construction safety, HSE regulations, including CDM 2015, and a solid understanding of behavioral safety principles.
* Membership of relevant bodies such as IOSH, APS (CMaPS/IMaPS), or equivalent.
* Effective communication, organisational, and relationship management skills.
* A current UK driving license and willingness to travel for site visits.
