About the Company
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and organised individual to join our management team in the Early Years Centre. Our Centre has been situated in the heart of the Highfield campus for over 40 years, offering childcare for children aged from birth to five years.
About the Role
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Centre by means of managing occupancy and availability of childcare sessions and the fees/payments received from the parents. You will also be involved in the preparation and analysis of budgets and financial forecasts. You will be the first point of contact with most families before they join our setting, so you will need to have positive and strong communication skills, both verbal and written. The ideal candidate will be highly organised with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong business acumen. You will be experienced in supporting the delivery of projects, be able to manage your own time, and offer skills in marketing, administration, accurate record keeping and adapt easily whilst using a variety of computer software packages. The successful candidate should be able to work as part of a team and liaise with other University departments and the general public.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
It would be desirable if the successful candidate had at least two years’ experience working in an Early Years setting, and a Level 3 qualification in Early Years and Education. Alternatively, you would be interested in developing skills and obtaining a qualification within this area. An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
Required Skills
Positive and strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Highly organised with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong business acumen.
Preferred Skills
Experience in supporting the delivery of projects, managing time efficiently, skills in marketing, administration, and accurate record keeping, ability to adapt easily to using a variety of computer software packages.
Pay range and compensation package
£30,505 to £33,486. With a generous holiday allowance as well as additional university closure days we are committed to supporting our staff and students and open to a flexible working approach.
