Eden Scott is delighted to be supporting their client, a leading Renewable Energy business, on the recruitment of a Project Business Development Manager to join their growing team in North Yorkshire. This is an exciting role which will involve you in securing high quality development sites to maintain the development of the renewables forward programme. You will also take responsibility of several land negotiations to achieve specific project and financial objectives outlined in the organisation's Business Plan. The key aspects of the role include: Identifying new quality renewable generation and flexible energy projects for the company across the United Kingdom, with a primary focus on England. Providing support to the Head of Business Development and the wider team in their efforts to develop a successful business plan and to provide specific help within estates and business development areas. Identifying sites pre-planning and wherever possible avoid on-market competition. Preparing the initial development concept, identifying, and approaching landowners and agreeing site and individual negotiating strategies with the Head of Business Development. Negotiating contracts on behalf of the company. Preparing financial appraisals for use at Key Review A and B stages and preparing /obtaining approval for initial budgets to progress sites through to Key Review C. You will: have 5 years' experience in site finding, with good knowledge of development and land use planning in negotiating Option contracts possess a degree in a relevant subject and ideally a professional qualification e.g. RICS/RTPI be an experienced negotiator have planning ability and ability to multi-task successfully. exhibit role model actions and behaviours consistent with the company values have class communication skills with the ability to liaise with senior management and technical functions have a positive 'can do' enthusiastic attitude towards addressing technical challenges demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and be capable of delivering excellent results to strict deadlines. have a professional approach be flexible & responsive be comfortable with regular travel have the ability to partner with customers, partners and stakeholders in a manner that results in mutually positive outcomes and credibility If you are a dynamic, self-starter, with the ability to operate in a challenging environment this role could be for you.
