The Job: Electrical Tester/Commissioning Engineer
Are you a skilled engineering professional with a passion for commissioning and authorising Electrical systems? We’re seeking a dedicated Electrical Tester/Commissioning Engineer to join our clients dynamic team and take on an essential role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a range of high-stakes projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the commissioning and authorisation of critical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
Provide expert guidance and advice during the installation, testing, and validation phases.
Conduct system audits, risk assessments, and reviews to ensure full functionality and safety of operations.
Work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful handovers.
Oversee and approve system test plans, ensuring that quality and performance objectives are met.
Take a lead role in troubleshooting and resolving any issues encountered during commissioning phases.
Work will be mostly based in the Central Belt of Scotland but may require some travel out with.
Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience in commissioning and authorising systems, ideally within the engineering, construction, or industrial sectors.
A detailed understanding of relevant health, safety, and regulatory standards (e.g., BS7671, IEC standards).
18th Edition qualified
Strong technical expertise, including knowledge of electrical systems.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage project teams and client expectations.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant certifications or qualifications (e.g., Degree in Engineering, IEng/CEng, etc.) are highly desirable.
