DT Teacher Stockport
£140-£205 day rate depending on experience February 2025 - Ongoing
About the role
We are seeking a DT Teacher (Design & Technology Teacher) to join one of our client schools in the Stockport area. The desired DT Teacher will be working with students with a wide range of abilities and levels, working across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Experience of teaching a number of DT disciplines would be hugely advantageous. The school is seen as a pillar in the local community and consistently excels with Ofsted.
The role of a DT Teacher:
* Plan GCSE DT lessons that are engaging and adapt to various abilities.
* Strong knowledge of the curriculum.
* Use strong de-escalation strategies to keep the students engaged.
* Ability to effectively develop the confidence and social skills of pupils.
Requirements for DT Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status.
* Degree in Physical Education.
* Experience delivering GCSE DT lessons at Secondary Level.
* Strong subject knowledge.
* Ability to effectively develop the confidence and social skills of pupils.
* An understanding of working with students with SEN and SEMH needs.
* An understanding of pupils’ behaviour patterns when experiencing complex needs.
