Head of Demand Generation, Amazon Freight
DESCRIPTION
EU Amazon Freight is looking for a senior leader to define and setup a net-new Demand Generation Team (DG) that serves Enterprise, SMB and Small prospective customers (Shippers). As the DG leader you will have the exciting opportunity to define the strategy, recruit a team of early-career demand generation representatives, and support the sales organization by facilitating connections between Customers and Business Developers. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to create a customer-focused, results-driven team that achieves activity-based metrics and qualifies new business to meet sales goals. Additionally, you will build senior, strategic alignment both vertically and horizontally across Amazon Freight through cross-functional interlock.
The successful candidate will have strong sales and management background, lead with empathy to cultivate a high-performing demand generation team and think creatively to define the long term pipeline strategy for Amazon Freight.
Key job responsibilities
1. Develop a DG strategy for all of the Amazon Freight Sales (Inbound and Outbound): that handles the top of funnel pipeline by sourcing and executing effective prospects to schedule new customers meetings and facilitate early stage customer conversations to generate qualified opportunities for Business Developers across the Sales team.
2. Build Efficient, Scalable, and Transparent Processes through Program Management: Create and optimize lead pipeline across all of Amazon Freight that encompasses data qualified leads (DQL), marketing qualified leads (MQL) and Sales qualified leads (SQL).
3. Hire a team of demand generation representatives: oversee all aspects of individual and team-wide coaching and enablement to develop early career talent, including developing sales acumen/skills-based competencies and Amazon Leadership Principles-based competencies.
4. Implement Strategic Initiatives: Test new strategies in collaboration with senior stakeholders to support pitching or securing new business.
5. Own Performance Updates and Business Reviews: Manage pipeline updates, business reviews, and strategic project documents with leadership.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in Demand Generation, Sales or Business Development
- Team management experience
- Proven track record of metrics and quota achievement
- Ability to dive deep into data, find meaning and deliver outcomes.
- Experience with CRM
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in team leadership positions in a result oriented environment and experience in coaching and mentoring young professionals
- MBA, BA/BS degree or relevant experience
- Track record in effectively collaborating with senior stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency in written and verbal German, Spanish, French or Italian
