Electrical Testing Engineer Main duties and responsibilities for an Electrical Testing Engineer As an Electrical Testing Engineer you will report to the Supervisor / Contract Manager, and you are the first point of contact between the business and our client. You must have good written and oral communication skills and have a high level of technical knowledge across the electrical industry. Working hours are Monday-Friday 08.00-17.00 with weekend work and overtime available upon request The main duties of an Electrical Testing] Engineer include: Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, servicing, inspecting, and testing Diagnosing and rectifying faults Carry out electrical remedial works Undertake new electrical inspections To action reactive electrical works To complete emergency lighting inspections and repairs Carrying out company works as required and to desired standards Providing the highest level of customer care and always promoting a good external perception of the company Complying with company procedures and policies to ensure smooth delivery of our service Producing reporting on time and to agreed standards Adhering to the company’s quality management system and recycle correctly and responsibly Experience & Skills UK Driving Licence (required) Experience in electrical repair, maintenance, servicing & installations, preferably within the public sector A sound knowledge of tools, equipment & materials common to the Electrical Trade Current Trade Qualifications Good communication skills, both verbal & written The ability to interpret schematics and electrical drawings IT literate A commitment to great customer service Salary & Benefits Competitive salary relative to experience (PAYE) 23 days holiday per year, rising to 25 days after two years of employment Buy and sell holiday scheme Access to a pension scheme Vehicle Fuel card Company phone and tablet device All plant tools supplied (drills, steps, ladders, heavy duty power tools) Time and a half rate for evening and Saturday working hours Double time for night-time, Sunday, and bank holiday working.
