CAD Designer Permanent Full-Time

Location - In office, Worcester
We are supporting a company that specialises in precision tooling solutions for the aerospace and industrial sectors, leveraging advanced CNC technology to produce high-quality, precise products.
The company offers a comprehensive range of services, including the design and manufacture of tooling, ceramics, wax, and machining services to restore castings to their nominal profiles.
Due to a growing order book, they are expanding their CAD capabilities and are seeking a motivated CAD Designer with expertise in Siemens NX (or similar CAD software), and at least 5 years of experience in tooling design, ideally in injection moulding or general moulded tooling.
Responsibilities, but are not limited to
Produce designs using Unigraphics (Siemens NX) CAD software
Create models for manufacturing purposes
Produce detailed technical drawings
Collaborate with CNC programmers and toolmakers to ensure design feasibility
Attend design kick-off and development meetings
Liaise with customers regarding technical and design issues
Generate BOMs (Bill of Materials) and parts lists for ordering parts and materials
Work closely with managers to implement company policies and business objectives
Take a responsible approach to health, safety, and environmental risks, reporting them as appropriate
Undertake any other duties within capability as requiredExperiences required
Competent CAD 3D modeller with experience in Siemens NX (Unigraphics) or similar software (e.g., PTC Creo, CATIA, Inventor, SolidWorks)
Experience in tooling design for injection moulded or general moulded parts (plastic PIM or metal MIM)
Ability to create bills of materials (BOMs) and parts lists
Minimum of 5 years professional experience in tooling design
Complex surface modelling experience is advantageous
Educated to at least HNC or HND level in a relevant fieldPackage
