In this role, you'll provide high-quality nursing support to adults with learning disabilities, working alongside a dedicated team to help each person lead a fulfilling and supported life. The Relief Nurse (Bank) role helps cover shifts when regular staff are on annual leave, training, or absent. This means your hours will vary, but your manager will work with you to balance the needs of the service with your work-life balance. Rotas are usually planned a month in advance, but additional shifts may become available due to unexpected absences. About the Role As a Relief Nurse, you ll join a compassionate team providing 24-hour support to 12 wonderful people with a variety of disabilities, in a friendly and homely environment. You ll be able to build meaningful relationships with the people we support, getting to know them and understanding their unique care needs. Your role will include: Supporting fun and engaging activities such as arts and crafts, walks, drives, music, films, and cookery. Assessing the nursing care needs of the people we support and working with the team to create, implement, and review their Health Action Plans, within their broader Person Centred Plans. Responding to and managing health concerns and medical emergencies as they arise. Administering prescribed medications, treatments, and interventions, ensuring to monitor and record their effects accurately. Auditing, ordering, and safely storing medications. Why Join Us? You will be supporting a variety of conditions, including the management of PEG feeds, catheters and stomas.
