What does the role look like?
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will proactively scope, prioritise and embed the key strategic deliverables across the D&A team through end-to-end data product lifecycle management, bridge the gap between the technical expertise of data and analytics teams and the business domains, provide SME input to data storytelling expertise and visualisation techniques, drive creation and adoption of self-serve data projects/platforms and increase data literacy across the bank.
Role requires an understanding of both the business objectives, goals, and domain expertise, as well as D&A concepts, methods, and techniques.
You’ll need to be proactive and stay informed about emerging AI technologies that can enhance and improve our business operations as well as be a strong support in key reporting and AI projects by leveraging new and existing technologies to drive business change.
Your skills:
Essential
* Relevant 3rd level IT qualification or other related STEM discipline (Bachelors, Masters) or significant experience in a Technical Business Analyst /analytical/ business intelligence role, proving data services to internal or external parties
* Experience of interpreting & manipulating data to produce trends and make recommendations
* Experience in using JIRA or equivalent case handling tool
* Experience in facilitating effective workshops to gather a range of ideas and perspective
* Strong communications skills with ability to translate and adapt message for different stakeholder groups including technical and non-technical audiences at all levels including Exco
* Project management in an agile environment
* Experience working with a Data Visualisation tool such as Tableau, Qliksense, PowerBI
* Ability to think logically, a high level of numeracy and the ability to interpret data
* Strong relationship management & influencing skills
Preferred
* Experience of QA and release management, managing customer during UAT
* Experience with workflow Data Integration tools such as Alteryx, Python etc.
* Some exposure to disruptive technologies such as Big Data platforms, predictive analytics, regression modelling or machine learning
