This role combines administrative duties with responsibility for overseeing the efficient operation of plant equipment and machinery. The successful candidate will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of plant operations, managing documentation, and providing support to the team. Key Responsibilities: • Plant Equipment Management: Monitor the use and maintenance of plant machinery and equipment, ensuring everything is operational and properly scheduled for use. • Documentation: Maintain accurate records for plant operations, including logs for machinery, service schedules, and maintenance histories. • Inventory Control: Track and manage plant-related inventory, including parts and supplies required for plant maintenance. • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in plant operations. Support the preparation and review of risk assessments and safety audits. • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the plant management team, including preparing reports, updating spreadsheets, and handling correspondence. • Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate plant maintenance schedules and ensure timely servicing of equipment to minimize downtime. • Data Entry & Reporting: Accurately input data into management systems, create regular reports on plant performance, and support the creation of cost analysis reports. • Supplier Liaison: Communicate with suppliers for parts, equipment, and service needs. Process orders and manage supplier relationships. • Team Communication: Liaise with internal teams and management to ensure smooth communication and operational efficiency. Key Skills & Requirements: • Previous Experience: Experience in plant operations, administration, or a similar role is highly preferred. • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to organize tasks, maintain accurate records, and prioritize multiple responsibilities. • Attention to Detail: Must have a keen eye for detail, especially in maintaining accurate documentation and handling machinery or equipment schedules. • Computer Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with plant management or asset management software is an advantage. • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with suppliers, colleagues, and management. • Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues, particularly with plant equipment or administrative challenges. • Team Player: Able to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other departments.
