Historic England have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as a Personal Assistant to the Regional Director - Midlands.
This is a Full Time, Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2026.
The location of this role is Birmingham where we offer hybrid working, you will be based in our office and from home.
Salary
£23,588 per annum pro-rata

What you will be doing
In this role you will provide administrative and diary support to the Regional Director and Head of Region, and further administrative support to the Midlands team.
You will provide proactive diary management and forward planning for the Director and Head of the Midlands region, ensuring that regular and ad hoc internal and external meetings and site visits are scheduled and organised effectively and efficiently, including site visit risk assessments.
As a Personal Assistant to the Regional Director - Midlands you will be responsible for Inbox and correspondence management where required, including identifying and communicating urgent actions, directing correspondence to the appropriate person or place and tracking actions arising from correspondence.
What we are looking for
1. Proven administrative and office organisation experience
2. A high standard of accuracy and attention to detail
3. Excellent IT skills, including advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 365), setting up/managing physical and virtual meetings (Teams or similar)
4. Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of people
5. Proven ability to work effectively under pressure, juggle conflicting demands and manage multiple tasks
6. Experience of maintaining online office and administrative systems, and keeping track of tasks and incoming/outgoing information
