THE JOB
To organise the warehouse and yard, including displays, plus the arrivals and dispatching of goods, and delivering goods to our customers covering the following key areas.
Actively supports other team members to ensure targets and tasks are completed.
Delivers good working relationships with all team members.
Promotes the business and work to a required standard.
Follows company procedures to complete tasks without assistance.
Works to get routine daily tasks done in time and to the standard required.
Follows through customer enquiries, requests and problems and deals with them promptly.
Confidently deals with customer problems and is able to establish customer needs.
To ensure all policies and procedures in respect of Health, Safety and Environment are adhered to, in order to provide a safe and secure environment for self, staff and customers.
To be aware of the risks in the work environment and their potential impact on self, colleagues, customers and visitors and take action to address them.
To attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills.
Ensure any deliveries required on the van are done in a timely and professional manner.
Keep the yard tidy, presentable with stock rotation.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES REQUIRED
Team player, with a genuine interest in helping others. (Essential)
Continuously looking to improve the yard areas and displays. (Essential)
Qualified Forklift Truck and Telehandler Driver with experience in actively loading and unloading vehicles. (Preferred, though training can be given)
Full UK drivers license so able to do Van deliveries to customers. (Essential)
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to liaise between a number of departments. (Essential)
Exceptional customer service skills as dealing with many internal and external customers. (Essential)
Agricultural knowledge. (Desirable)
