Cwrt Rawlin Primary School Teaching Assistant Level 3 (Full Time Targeted Intervention Teaching Assistant) Required for September 2025 Permanent Start date: 01-09-25 Cwrt Rawlin Primary School, Cae Meillion, Caerphilly, CF83 1SN Age Range 4-11 Grade 5, Level 3 32.5 hours per week 8:40am - 3:40pm daily The Headteacher and Governors of Cwrt Rawlin Primary school wish to appoint an outstanding teaching assistant who will join our school team to work with passion and dedication to deliver targeted interventions to those pupils who have been identified as requiring additional support in their literacy and numeracy skills, including, delivering bespoke interventions designed to support the emotional health and wellbeing of pupils. This role will be an incredibly busy, challenging and rewarding one. It will involve working with children from our Reception to year 6 pupils - this may involve working with some pupils individually or in small groups. The successful candidate will need to be able to adapt and work flexibly to meet the different needs and ages of the pupils. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver a range of interventions such as Number Recovery, Rainbow Readers, Lego Therapy, ELSA, Draw and Talk and ‘Talkabout’ (examples of interventions). In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to familiarise themselves with the educational needs of pupils and draw upon information provided by professionals and from the school’s ALNCo in order to deliver specialist support for pupils. The successful candidate must have a passion for delivering interventions that will make a difference to pupils and their ability to make progress in literacy, numeracy and in their social and emotional development. The role will involve working with the school’s ALNco and Assistant Headteacher closely to plan effectively for intervention support and reflect on its impact. The successful candidate will also need to have a passion for managing their own learning intervention room. The school is willing to invest in training for the successful candidate in order for them to deliver effective interventions, mostly, we are looking for commitment and passion in someone to take on this role.
