Project Manager/Estimator
North Devon & Somerset areas - Rate £33.50 per hour
The client we are acting on behalf of are seeking a skilled Project Manager/Estimator to oversee and manage various construction projects across Somerset and North areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating, project coordination, construction management, and possess excellent time management skills.
The Project Manager/Estimator oversees all aspects of the project; estimating, budgeting, scheduling, selecting and coordinating subcontractors, and other managerial aspects of the project. Managing medium scale projects is the primary focus overseeing Groundworks Teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Create project contracts
2. Estimate, develop and oversee project execution strategy
3. Maintain project budget
4. Create project work package
5. Create project profit projections
6. Provide Business Manager with necessary project billing data
7. Project kickoff and debrief meetings for large projects
8. Generate and manage change order process
9. Manage project permitting
10. Draft and secure subcontractor and purchase order agreements
11. Hold regular project meetings
12. Manage formal communication with clients and subcontractors
13. Verify vendor qualification and manage vendor relations
14. Coordinate and closeout subcontractors and vendors
15. Maintain customer relations
Requirements:
1. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
2. Experience managing a project team
3. Proven experience in construction project management
4. Strong understanding of construction processes and techniques
5. Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines
6. Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
7. Knowledge of contract management and negotiation
Hybrid work at home then out on site for 2-3 days a week.
