Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Security DevOps Contractor for a three-month engagement to enhance and automate our security infrastructure. You will work closely with our DevOps, Security, and Engineering teams to ensure robust security practices are seamlessly integrated into our CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, high-impact security initiative, ensuring the resilience and security of our systems while optimising performance and automation. Working as part of a team, the ideal candidate should be able to work independently, think on their feet, and proactively address security challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
1. CI/CD Pipeline Deployments: Create deployment pipelines to deploy AWS infrastructure and EKS services.
2. Cloud Security: Implement security best practices in an AWS environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
3. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Security: Secure Terraform and Terragrunt templates, ensuring least privilege and compliance with security best practices.
Essential Skills:
1. Strong Security & DevOps Expertise: Proven experience in securing DevOps pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automating security processes.
2. Cloud Security Mastery: Hands-on experience securing AWS environments.
3. CI/CD Integration: Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.
4. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Deep understanding of securing Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation.
5. Amazon EKS & Kubernetes Security: Experience in designing, securing and managing Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS) environments.
6. Independent & Proactive Mindset: Ability to work autonomously, to propose, test, implement and validate.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Skills:
1. Understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies.
2. Experience in using Atlassian products (Jira and Confluence).
3. Programming & Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar languages for security automation.
Experience:
2-3 years experience using AWS, EKS and Terraform.
