About The Role
Are you a newly qualified Occupational Therapist or ready for a new challenge to progress your career?
If you strive to make a positive impact on people’s lives, we would like to hear from you.
At Hesley Group, we aim to offer the best possible person-centred care and vocational opportunities for young people and adults, often with autism, who have a learning disability and complex needs including behaviour which may challenge.
We are looking for energetic and passionate individuals to join our team as Band 5 Occupational Therapists. You will be a key part of the multi-disciplinary team within the service and will also be part of our Therapeutic Services team, comprising Behaviour Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, and Speech and Language Therapists, all working alongside clinical assistants.
The MDT at Meadow View mostly consists of newly qualified therapists who have progressed to Band 6, so the support for your first steps in your career is well tested and proven. Our Therapists contribute significantly to providing effective person-centred positive behaviour support. Our inclusive approach involves the people we support as true partners in their care.
We recognize that every staff member plays an important role in caring for our people. Dedication, passion, and hard work enable us to deliver excellent care programs that truly benefit those we support.
Our CPD opportunities are second to none: you will have the chance to complete a Postgraduate qualification in Sensory Integration and other relevant training within your first few years with us.
This role will be challenging but rewarding, with a real opportunity to improve the lives of our service users.
As part of the OT role, you will use your warm and friendly interpersonal skills to develop good relationships with the residents at Meadow View, serving as a foundation for continued growth on the OT pathway. Your core OT values and knowledge will help individuals learn new skills to increase independence and enhance their quality of life.
You will provide services to residents to meet their occupational needs within a Positive Behavioural Support framework, supporting their development towards greater independence and a lifestyle of their choosing.
About You
You will hold an Occupational Therapy professional qualification and a current registration with HCPC. Knowledge of learning disability and/or autism and associated mental health difficulties is preferred but not essential. You should actively support and advise other team members and stakeholders.
We seek a dynamic, resilient, and motivated individual committed to evolving services and delivering effective, evidence-based initiatives.
