Head of Service Delivery Area - Maritime Based at HMNB Clyde, Scotland £75,000- £85,000 per annum, plus company car or car allowance, company bonus and private medical cover Permanent/ Full time (open to flexible working requests) Serco have an exciting new role for a Head of Service Delivery Area to join our maritime team based at HMNB Clyde located in Scotland. The purpose of this role is to lead the CPMS operations across Clyde with accountability for customer relationships, operational performance, people leadership and transformation. Reporting to the Contract Director, this role will be accountable for complex set of MoD and commercial customers; a cost base of approximately £30m; and variable revenues of £5m. The role will also be responsible for executing the transformation of our operations across the contract, including driving consistency and operational efficiency, playing a pivotal role in the preparation for the seamless introduction of DMS-NG. Main accountabilities: Responsible for leading the delivery of operational performance of the CPMS operation across Devonport and for maintaining a safe, secure and ethical business. Sustain and develop Serco’s presence in the marketplace as the supplier of choice for holistic Port Marine Services Operations. Drive operational excellence across the dockyard operations, including consistency, best practice and benchmarking of common operational and management processes. Developing and delivering a revised organisational structure with a view to Moving to a service delivery driven method, Provide leadership to Serco personnel such that all employees understand and adopt wider business strategy/plans and values such that they are engaged within their local teams and wider marine business. Own and manage/direct the customer relationships and stakeholder management for Devonport, Portsmouth and Faslane Royal Navy customers, senior MoD customers (including deputising for the FPMS Contract Director), and commercial customers. Accountable and responsible for a cost base of approximately £5million and variable revenues of approximately £30million. Play a critical role in shaping the operations to the ultimate success of the introduction of DMS-NG SME support to business development strategies and overarching maritime priorities to meet growth targets. What you’ll need to do the role: Educated to post graduate degree level or with demonstrable evidence of equivalence through management experience and achievement. Previous experience of operating in Maritime Regulatory environment or similar highly regulated environment and fully conversant with operating within Safety Management Systems or 5 years leadership experience in an operational regulated environment. Proven leadership and management skills. Proven stakeholder management and business development skills. Developed written, verbal and presentational communication skills. Proven financial and commercial management skills. Proven analytical and planning skills.
