These include all the barracks in York, Strensall, and extends to Leconfield in East Yorkshire. Imphal Barracks is home to Headquarters 1st (UK) Division, 2 Signal Regiment, 3 Army Education Centre and several smaller Army Units. An exciting position for a Vehicle Fleet Manager/Driver has opened within Headquarters Catterick Garrison. As part of a hard-working, motivated, and enthusiastic team, you will have an excellent op-portunity to work alongside civilian and military colleagues providing crucial transport support to a large number military and civilian staff as well as to many Army Units. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. Job description As a Vehicle Fleet Manager and Driver you will be required too: Liaise, coordinate, and record bookings through vehicle contractors for legally required servicing, inspections and MOT's for coaches, minibuses, vans, and cars and chase as required. Your will be responsible for keeping all maintenance records up to date for assurance purposes, and to monitor contractor time frames if they have been exceeded. You will be required to administrate and inspect new and losing fleet vehicles arranging removal of telematics and handover dates. The successful candidate will be proficient in the Handover and takeover of vehicles, follow policy and supervise Self Drive Staff (2 x Leading Hands) with Handover and Takeover of vehicles, and task drivers as required on maintenance tasks. You will become competent in the use of computer software for vehicle scheduling and user details. You will cover for the Leading Hands Driver during absence and to cover tasks in the event of other staff absences. The post holder will also complete driving tasks as and when required. Person specification You will require a Full Driving Licence and driving experience for this role. Specific Driving Licenses required as follows - A full CAT D - Coach driving licence and a full CAT C - LGV driving licence.
