Job overview
We're recruiting for a Porter/Cleaner to join our team at Wallingford Community Hospital on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). You'll be working on a two week rolling rota which covers Monday - Sunday where you'll be on shift every other weekend.

Main duties of the job
* Receive and check food deliveries, checking delivery temperature and reporting discrepancies to head housekeeper following food hygiene regulations.
* Deliver meals to and from the kitchen onto the ward areas.
* Available for the movement of patients within the Hospital complex, as required.
* Collection of pharmacy boxes and pathological specimens. (Special arrangements apply on Saturdays and Bank Holidays)
* Collection of dirty linen. Distribution of clean linen at weekends and holidays.
* Collection of refuse and other waste, ensuring that any waste bins in outside public areas are regularly emptied.
* Keeping stores and medical gas compound clean and tidy and kept secure at all times, reviewing medical gas trolleys and delivering medical gas to the relevant departments on request.

Education
