Automotive Workshop Instructor Barnsley College Engineering Hourly Rate : £12.72 to £14.63 per hour Contract Type: Variable hours Reference: REC2010 | Closing date: Monday 6 th January 2024 The opportunity As our Motor Vehicle Workshop Instructor, you will deliver hands-on, practical training designed to equip learners with the skills they need for success in the automotive sector. Your role will be key to their development, providing instruction in a workshop environment, supporting practical learning, and assessing their progress. You will also play a vital part in maintaining a safe and inspiring learning space that encourages growth and confidence. This role will see you working closely with students of all ages, from young people at the start of their careers to adults looking to upskill or transition into the automotive industry. Youll deliver engaging demonstrations, prepare and maintain workshop materials, and assess our students progress. You will also play a key role in maintaining a safe and organised environment, promoting health and safety practices and ensuring tools and equipment meet the required standards. Collaboration will be central to your role, as you will work closely with teaching staff and course leaders to plan and deliver practical elements of courses. Youll also contribute to team meetings, share updates on student progress, and support the smooth running of the workshop.
