Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enriching the lives of people with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do.
Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’.
We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over national and regional awards!
We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.
Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: We are all different in lots of ways, and have different likes and hobbies, our age range is from 31-63. Most of us are mobile but a couple of us need a little bit of physical assistance to get around especially out and about. We have different challenges in our lives which include, autism, learning disabilities and mental health. We have a team of support workers who are all trained and familiar with supporting someone with similar needs.
18. We are proud to be able to help our community and some of us have volunteer work we love to do including working a café, charity shop, food bank.
19. We enjoy being social, and love going out to social events pubs and music concerts
20. We have all different interests, some of us enjoy music and dancing, while others love nothing better than a quiet walk, coffee and a catch up.
21. We are fun loving, caring and considerate.
22. We would not enjoy spending time with people who are bossy, pushy, running around, shouting or very noisy as it would tend to make a few of us upset.
23. There are always at least 4 colleagues on shift.
24. We like our staff to work Mornings and evening with a mixture of shift from 8am to 10pm, sometimes we may need our support workers to stay back if we are going out late to the pub, social events ,concerts, theatreetc and waking nights 10pm to 8am.
25. In order to support us to have the Best Life Possible our team have all relevant training including autism and learning disabilities.
Your values: We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience.
