We believe that our trust is at the precipice of something great; through a mix of collective synchronicity and autonomy, our schools are working together to provide strength so that they can stretch their offer beyond expectations in their drive for excellence. Our trust is not insular; we embrace collaboration, innovation, and development. Our English Hub supports schools across Cornwall to secure children’s early reading, whilst our Teaching School Hub, as a partner in OneCornwall, provides services to schools across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly in relation to areas such as the Early Career Framework and National Professional Qualifications. We are very proud of our small school; our pupils, our staff, and our wider community. Our Pre-School offers our very youngest children a safe and nurturing, outdoor based, initial experience of St Kew Academy, before pupils join our school at aged 4. When our pupils leave us at 11 years old, they do so equipped with the knowledge and skills for their next phase of education and for life beyond. This curriculum has been developed for pupils to follow with their specific learning needs in mind and we work together to nurture and challenge each individual child through our tailored provision. Children take responsibility for their learning and behaviour, developing independence and questioning and decision-making skills. This is reflective of our Trust’s Core Shared Values and our Trust Philosophy of ‘work hard, be honest & help others’. Working in partnership with our parents and, staff and the local community we achieve an effective balance of achievement and progress for all whilst ensuring our pupils are cared for, safe and happy and this balance helps to make our school the special place that it is today.
