Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Theatre Scrub Practitioner (Surgical First Assistant) to join our Theatre team based in Hemel Hempstead. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary in the range of £43,500.00 - £47,500.00 pa DoE plus benefits. Main duties of the job Your responsibilities will include: To act as First Assistant to the Consultant Surgeon, with autonomy in suturing participating and assist in operative procedures and with pre- and post-operative care as required. You will also be required to demonstrate competence level of knowledge within the specialist field and always work within predetermined areas of competence in accordance with the NMC or HPC code of conduct. To Practice within the limits of OSDH policies and guidelines and be expected to maintain a high level of skill and professionalism. To work closely with the multidisciplinary team to achieve and maintain an outstanding, patient-focused service. The successful candidate will be expected to work on a shift basis, working 37.5 hours per week over a 7 day rota during the hospital operating hours.
