Chief Operating Officer Summary The Chief Operating Officer (COO) oversees the overall global operations of the company's business and ensures that the operations are consistently aligned with the company's objectives. Ensuring the company delivers its Vision in the most effective, efficient, and scalable way. Accountable for maximising the valuation (profitability and multiple) of the company in both the short and long-term to maintain independence and employee reward. The COO encourages and provides mentoring and coaching to ensure the development of a high-performance operational management team. Balancing the changing landscape of our clients' needs with the technical expertise and knowledge to remain competitive and valued will be a key part of this role. Responsibilities O versee the actual and potential global operations of the organization. This role will be directly responsible for the global delivery and technical teams and have dotted line responsibility for the regional directors from an operational perspective. Develop KPI (Key Performance Indicators) reporting frameworks around productivity; scalability; project profitability; valuation multiplier; report releases; software releases and budget management. Analyse KPI results to identify business process and continuous improvement opportunities. Assess and manage the principal risks of the organization's business operations; identify solutions and contingency plans. Build and manage an organizational model that effectively responds to the evolving needs of the business, delivers on our value propositions, and ensures that all day-to-day operations are consistently aligned with organizational objectives. Encourage and provide mentoring and effective leadership as a cornerstone for maintaining effective work relationships across the entire organization and a high-performance management team. Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth and motivate the company to surpass its targets. Ensure that functional teams have adequate governance processes in place. Recommend and implement strategies for enhanced business performance through cost reduction, capacity increase, or quality improvement. Enable the efficient and effective running of the organization and relieve the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of day-to-day operating concerns. Experience Experience of identifying and responding to challenges quickly and effectively to minimise risk to the business objectives. Experience within Professional Services through times of significant change and disruption. Additional experience within the Automotive industry would be an advantage. Business process reengineering to leverage technology and/or process redesign to improve business performance and client experience.
