Our HR function plays a key role in the smooth running of our Council, and we have an exciting opportunity for a HR Business Support Officer to join our team, working across our sites in the Wyre Forest and would be based primarily in Kidderminster. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and this role is key in supporting the delivery of the People and Organisation Development Strategy. We truly believe the role of a HR Business Support Officer is an experience like no other –you’ll receive huge amounts of variety, the opportunity to get stuck into the day-to-day challenges of HR, whilst working on lots of exciting forward-thinking projects. This is an 18 month fixed term contract. A typical day working as a HR Business Support Officer may include: Assisting with the development and maintenance of a range of efficient administration processes and procedures to support the effective operation of the service area. Ensure the use of IT is maximised to enhance quality and efficiency of service provision. Ensure that the full range of complex and sensitive data is accurately and securely maintained and retrieved effectively; ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. Maintain and refresh established systems and processes, responding to current and future service needs. Assist with the review of relevant business processes to evaluate that they are fit for purpose. Assist in the resolution of enquiries to ensure a customer focussed, high quality service is provided. Undertake research and information gathering as requested, including analysing findings The Ideal Candidate You’ll certainly be a team player and have a keen interest in HR. Our staff come from a variety of different backgrounds and prior experience isn’t always necessary. Organised Additional Information Appointment to this post is subject to satisfactory clearance of a basic disclosure check (Disclosure & Barring Services (DBS)) under the Police Act 199 7.
