We’re looking for an experienced procurement professional to join our team, here at Willerby.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Drive and delivery of best ‘Total Cost of Acquisition.’
2. Achieve year on year cost reduction based on predetermined KPIs.
3. Develop and implement top level commodity strategies
4. Work closely with current an new supply chains driving and delivering key strategic projects
5. Sourcing and approval of new suppliers
6. Work closely with Willerby’s Supplier Quality Team in the development and implementation of new products
7. Work with supply partners to achieve Lean Manufacturing
8. Work with key internal stakeholders to bring about improvements
9. Conduct supplier and commodity risk assessments, developing robust contingency plans
10. Assisting the relevant parties in the resolution of supply chain problems.
About You
11. CIPS qualified or working towards
12. Experience within a Manufacturing or Engineering environment
13. Previous experience of working within a procurement role
14. Experience of lean manufacturing techniques
15. Control and development of a supplier portfolio of greater than £2million
16. Track record of consistently achieving year on year cost savings
17. Ability to undertake effective supplier audits and reviews
18. understanding of key financial accounting information
19. Demonstrable influencing and negotiating skills
20. Commercial awareness
21. Good level of IT skills and experience of MRP systems and processes
