We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and conscientious Caretaker to join our busy school to support the Site Manager in ensuring a safe and secure environment for all pupils and staff. Ideally, you will have experience working within a school environment or have a construction or trade background, as you will be required to carry out small maintenance tasks.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
1. Carrying out caretaking duties as required or directed by the Site Manager.
2. Covering for absence, porterage, undertaking small repairs and maintenance, replenishing soap, and litter picking.
3. Locking up or opening the school each day.
We are looking for someone who can work as part of the Site Team and manage their own workload, as there will be periods of working independently.
The successful candidate will ideally have relevant health and safety training, but further training and professional development opportunities will be available.
