I am looking for an experienced Chef to work in a residential home that offers nursing, dementia and residential care. The home has a delightful fusion of old and new and offers residents a luxury farmhouse living experience, blending the best of modern living with exquisite historic
In this post you will:
• Be responsible for the planning and provision of daily nutritious meals for residents
• Ensure the food your purchase is fresh and within budget
• Ensure all health and safety and environmental standards are achieved and maintained
• Be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team
The successful Chef needs to have:
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Food Preparation/Catering (or equivalent)
• Level 2 Food Hygiene, be willing to work towards Intermediate Food Hygiene qualifications
• Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting
• Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
• A knowledge of nutrition and the ability to develop menus that meet dietary requirements
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently under pressure
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures
• The ability to train and supervise kitchen staff
• A willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
