Job Summary
Please note this post is temporary. Salary will be pro-rated for part-time hours.
You will be a motivated, enthusiastic and caring individual who enjoys working with adults who have autism / learning disabilities.
Applicants should be experienced in working with adults who have autism and a learning disability, preferably in a residential / home support setting and possess the skills to achieve a safe balance of promoting independence and managing risk.
You must be an excellent communicator and team worker who can develop good relationships with colleagues and service users. You will show a commitment in promoting human rights and be able to evidence person-centred approaches within your working practices.
You must also have a sound understanding of social care values and of the professional role involved in working with adults who have autism / learning disabilities.
Experience in working with adults who have autism / learning disabilities is essential as well as holding a Scottish Vocational Qualification in Care at level 3 or willingness to work towards this as stipulated by the Scottish Social Services Council.
