Mount Pleasant School, situated on Mount Pleasant military complex in the Falkland Islands, provides education for primary children for 3-11 years. This is a small school and at this time there are approximately 26 children on the roll, with numbers varying according to military assignments. Proudly providing education for the children of UK MOD personnel on continuity tours assigned to British Forces South Atlantic Islands (BFSAI), the school has excellent facilities, is well resourced and moved to a purpose-build building in November 2019. Mount Pleasant School is situated in the heart of the community close to all the family housing. The Ministry of Defence employs over 50,000 Civil Servants. Within that, the Army Top Level Budget (TLB) employs around 7,000 MOD Civil Servants located at over 300 locations. Ours is a diverse workforce, with roles ranging from trainers, human resources, teachers, and psychologists to storekeepers, financiers, project and programme managers, and policy secretariat staff. There are many different functions and professions delivering key outputs for the Army. As such using data to aid understanding of our workforce is vital.
