Your new company Hays are delighted to be working alongside a local housing association in the Birmingham area in recruiting a Repairs & Maintenance Performance Manager on a permanent basis. The position will focus on delivering a first-class repairs and maintenance service to tenants/customers, and on delivery of all commercial/contractor duties. Your new role Your new role will lead the delivery and evaluate the performance of all repairs and maintenance services, leading and developing your team to create a high performance culture. Your duties will include: Collaborating with the repairs and maintenance teams to deliver robust repairs and maintenance projects. Ensure strong financial governance and cost control across the department. Delivering a high-quality reactive maintenance service to tenants/customers. Lead, support and mentor your team. Provide monthly reports to the Head of Department, including commercial advice to strengthen the department. Manage the valuation and payments process for sub contractors. The position is based in Birmingham with hybrid flexibility. What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed in this role you will be Qualified/Chartered (MRICS, MCIOB, CIH) or hold a relevant housing qualification related to the role, with key experience across repairs and maintenance, and in similar department roles. You will be a strong leader with a track record of successful managing financial and KPI performance within the housing sector, and have strong knowledge of both Health & Safety and Housing legislation. You will be able to develop and maintain contractor and stakeholder relationships, with a high level of drive for continuous improvement.VISA sponsorship will not be offered and candidates require the right to work in the UK at the time of application.
