Silverleigh is registered for 65 residents. We’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated General Assistant to support our residents during meal times and contribute to a welcoming dining environment, ensuring individual nutritional needs are met with care and dignity. From meal service to maintaining cleanliness, your efforts will help promote a person-centred approach, ensuring every resident feels supported and valued during meal times. What You’ll Do Meal Service Support: Assist residents during meal times, providing tailored support based on individual needs and preferences. Dining Area Maintenance: Keep dining areas clean, tidy, and hygienic before, during, and after meal times. Kitchen Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team, supporting their efforts to deliver high-quality meals. Food Hygiene Compliance: Adhere to food hygiene standards, ensuring safe handling and preparation of meals. Person-Centred Approach: Promote a compassionate, respectful, and individualized approach to support each resident. Nutritional Assistance: Help residents make informed food choices and assist with their dietary needs as required. Cleaning Procedures: Follow designated cleaning routines to maintain high hygiene standards in dining areas and the kitchen. Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff. Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to create a supportive and efficient environment for meal times. Policy Adherence: Read, understand, and follow company policies and procedures. Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications Empathy and Compassion: Strong interpersonal skills to provide supportive and respectful care to residents.
