The Role
The Financial Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial information for decision-making. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of financial processes and supporting business objectives through effective financial management.
Role Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Financial Reporting:
* Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
* Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), or other relevant standards.
* Assist in preparing management reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.
General Ledger Management:
* Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, including journal entries and reconciliations.
* Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
* Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning.
* Analyse variances between actuals and budgets/forecasts, providing insights and recommendations.
