Job Summary
As QHSE Manager, you will be responsible for the business's management systems and take the lead for the overall Health & Safety and Environmental strategy and implementation. This includes developing a standard approach and monitoring measures across the business to support the production team in achieving efficiency improvements and delivering unrivalled levels of customer service.
Duties
* Responsible for the Company’s QHSE processes and procedures to ensure the Company maintains its accreditations.
* Support, advise, and monitor Directors, Managers, and employees on all QHSE matters to ensure Company compliance with statutory, contractual requirements, and good industry practice.
* Liaise with Customers and Supply Chain regarding QHSE matters, ensuring their expectations are met.
* Maintain awareness of evolving industry QHSE regulations and best practices.
* Act as Subject Matter Expert for QHSE matters.
* Promote QHSE and improve processes and systems throughout the business.
* Resolve and/or escalate QHSE issues in a timely fashion.
* Manage and monitor emergency procedures, signage, PPE, COSHH control, etc.
* Highlight areas where training/certification is required to meet standards imposed by legislation or HSE guidance.
* Carry out investigations into accidents and near-miss incidents, recording findings on relevant forms.
* Administer occupational health surveillance.
* Chair HSE Committee meetings.
* Conduct New Employee Inductions.
* Provide support to the Maintenance Manager.
* Maintain documentation, including Management Reviews, Internal Audit records, and accident analyses.
* Manage and monitor corrective actions relevant to internal & external audit findings.
* Present toolbox talks.
* Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments, ensuring procedures are in place to address actions efficiently.
* Comply with Health and Safety responsibilities as defined in the Company health and safety policy.
* Ensure all Company activities comply with environmental legislation.
