This role involves conducting planned and preventative maintenance, as well as servicing and repairing work in compliance with relevant laws across multiple contracts.

Responsibilities
1. To undertake planned preventative maintenance, servicing and repair works across various contracts.
2. To regularly and effectively communicate with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors in order to maintain and develop excellent relationships and ensure smooth operation of the business.
3. To provide boiler/combustion servicing and repair works across various contracts.
4. Maintain low pressure boilers, high pressure boilers, power boilers, steam boilers and hot water heating systems.
5. Monitor boiler systems to ensure it is operating safely and properly; facilitate periodic boiler cleaning.
6. Addresses any problems with boiler systems and notifies maintenance when needed.
7. Contact relevant manager concerning potentially dangerous equipment or safety violations.
8. Liaise with internal Acorn helpdesk and administration teams to create a collaborative and successful support function.
9. Attend to call outs during normal working hours and in addition will be part of the out-of-hours emergency call out rota.
10. The individual will be expected to organise their work and time efficiently and to work supportively within a team.
11. Punctual site attendance, well-presented wearing relevant PPE and clothing.
12. Completing and submitting clear, concise and accurate reporting for works carried out and any further work required.
13. To be in regular communications with the Contracts Managers on the relevant job progressions.
Qualifications & Skills
Knowledge
1. Knowledge of Combustion Systems
2. Knowledge of HVAC plant i.e. A/C, boilers, controls, heating and cooling systems, ventilation.
3. Knowledge of building services.
4. Understanding of Legionella.
5. Understanding of overall Health & Safety.
Personal Qualities/Skills
1. Valid driving licence
2. Good communication and time management skills.
3. Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook.
4. Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
5. Self-motivated.
6. The ability to work on your own or as part of a team and make calculated assessments of breakdowns.
