Your Role as Head of Facilities Management & Capital Projects:
1. Lead and manage all aspects of facilities management across Council and school sites, ensuring excellent service delivery.
2. Manage performance for multiple facilities management programs and oversee the capital delivery program for both corporate and school assets.
3. Provide strong leadership, budget management, and resource allocation to ensure efficient operations and effective cost control.
4. Drive forward the implementation of a corporate landlord model and support the development of a comprehensive estates strategy.
5. Develop, implement, and manage planned maintenance and compliance programs, including health & safety, statutory compliance, and preventative maintenance for the property portfolio.
6. Develop frameworks and procurement strategies to ensure the efficient delivery of services and partner management.
Your previous experience as Head of Facilities Management & Capital Projects:
1. Qualifications in Management, Facilities Management (IWFM), Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), or Chartered Surveying (RICS).
2. Experience in local government or public sector organisations.
3. Knowledge of implementing a corporate landlord model.
4. Educated to degree level in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
5. Proven leadership and people management skills with a track record in managing complex services at a senior level.
6. Extensive experience in property management, facilities management, health & safety, and compliance.
7. Experience managing capital works programs, both major and minor projects.
8. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with senior leaders, committee members, and stakeholders.
