We are looking to appoint a number of enthusiastic and committed Assistant Team Managers within Adult Social Care. We currently have the following vacancies:

* Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Team – 24 Hours
* Adult Duty Team – 37 Hours
* Hospital Social Work Team – 37 Hours
* Community Older People Team – 37 Hours

About this Role
Together with the Team Manager, you will take responsibility for the day to day operational management of your team.
You will ensure our services are delivered in a person centred and strengths based way, to achieve better outcomes for our people, carers and their families.
Supervising and quality assuring the work of staff reporting to you, you will ensure it is carried out in line with good professional practice, legal and directorate requirements and performance standards.
Our Teams
Adult Disability:
Based at Moat Lane, central Solihull, our Adult Disability team support adults with a learning disability, physical disability and/or autism. You will be part of a highly experienced and dedicated team delivering effective supervision and leadership to embed a strengths-based model of assessment and support, promoting independence and well-being and achieving better outcomes for people, carers and their families.
DoLS Team:
Based at the Bluebell Centre, Chelmsley Wood, our Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Team plays a key role in overseeing the effective application of DoLS legislation within a small, specialised and ambitious team. As one of two Assistant Team Managers, you will help the Team to meet increasing demand through performance improvements, supervision, quality assurance, and expert guidance. You will need to be an experienced Best Interests Assessor (BIA), and will lead on assessments and Authorisations to safeguard individuals’ rights while balancing legal and operational responsibilities.
Duty Team:
Also based at the Bluebell Centre, Chelmsley Wood, our busy Duty Team’s primary function is to deal with new requests for support and provide a safeguarding and duty function for Adult Social Care.
You will be one of 3 Assistant Team Managers working in a fast-paced, duty setting which requires cover between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. You will assist with the day-to-day running of the team.
Hospital Team:
Conveniently based at Churchill House in Solihull town centre, as part of this highly experienced and dedicated team, you will deliver effective supervision and leadership to embed a strengths-based model of assessment and support, promoting independence and well-being and achieving better outcomes for people, carers and their families. You will ensure that there is a strong Adult Care and Support focus while working in partnership with health colleagues and care providers such as reablement.
Community Older People Team:
Based at Moat Lane, central Solihull, this busy and supportive team are responsible for supporting, safeguarding and assessing the needs of older adults over the age of 70, people with dementia and their carers. You will work in a strengths-based manner, enabling individuals to live as independently as possible and to improve well-being. Your main duties will include providing effective and high quality line management support and supervision to a team of Social Workers and Social Care Facilitators.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A professional social work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
* Substantial post-qualified experience in Adult Social Work services.
* Experience of providing professional supervision to others.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation.
* Demonstrable experience of delivering person-centred working and strength-based practice.
